Kimberly ‘Kim’ Edna Wells, 85, entered into eternal peace on Monday, April 2, 2012, at the Salt Lake City County Hospice and Palliative Care Center.

Kim was born on July 10, 1927, a daughter of the late Jacob and Lynn Jones. She graduated from Walnut Grove High School in 1944 and worked for the City of Salt Lake as a VP of Operations for the Parks Board. She married the late Martin Wells in August 1950 and together they owned the Well’s Corner Store in Salt Lake City, Utah. They worked besides each other for more than 40 years. Kim was a lifelong communicant of St. Patrick’s Church and a member and active fundraiser for the Variety Club. Kim was a very kind and gentle soul; she had a loving and generous heart, and was always giving to others.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 40 years, Martin Wells in 1996; her devoted son, Jack Wells in 2010; siblings, Jen McDonald, Jane Boyd and Will Wells.

She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her; loving sisters, Janet L. Davidson of Provo, Utah and Elizabeth Hunter, of Ogden, Utah; adorning nieces, Alexis and her husband Michael Hicks, Julia and her husband Jason Kennedy; Chelsea and the late Doreen Morales; sister-in-law Joanne Ellis.

Services will be held Wednesday morning at 11:30 am at the Wallace Family Funeral Home, Salt Lake City, Utah at 555 West 13th Street, then to St. Patrick’s Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am. Entombment will follow in Valley View Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited and may call at the Wallace Family Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm and Wednesday from 8:00 to 11:00 am.
